End of season soccer party for 5 yr olds any ideas?!

Question: I always loved our soccer parties! My coach came up with the great idea to give out his own little rewards and he made authentic looking certificates and everything! He gave out obvious awards for things like highest scorer, most improved, fastest runner, best attitude, and then came up with cute awards for things like least likely to run through mud puddles or most enthusiastic. The awards made everyone feel good; just make sure all the players get one!

Make a soccer ball pinata and a soccer field cake or soccer ball sugar cookies or cupcakes.

hot dogs and potato chips koolaide and a swimming party

Pizza!

I took my kids to a local pizza parlor with video game machines. They loved it! (Oh, I took a couple rolls of quarters to help the parents out.)

Pizza, Chips, Fruit punch and there rewards! That is what they do for my sons soccer team at the end of the year!

With 5 year olds, I would make a buffet table of finger foods. Don't try to make them sit down all at once and eat, they'll be too excited. I saw a cute dessert treat if you've got the time. You take vanilla ice cream, scoop out little balls, roll them in coconut, let them set in freezer. When ready to serve, use chocolate icing in pastry bag to make the lines on a soccer ball.

a place like chuck e cheeze with arcade and pizza is always a good one. if you have a gaming system at home, or if one of the kids does, why not have a gaming party? go to Blockbuster and rent a few kid friendly games for the kids to play, or even some family movies to watch while everyone has popcorn and chips
