Ideas for a dress up 30th party!!?!
Answers: Got any ideas, I've got my 30th birthday this year and I want to have a dress up theme. I don't want 60s 70s or 80s to common. I want something really different. Share of thoughts would be great thanks!!!
You could do a Casino night with showgirls/high rollers or a western, where you play cowgirls/cowboys, maybe, a pirate party-Arg! I was looking at this list :)

My 40th was a L theme (I got Lara Croft, Lois Lane, leopards, Lords & Ladies, etc)
My friend's 40th is going to be "Come as your midlife crisis!" - should be interesting.

A great one was an "80's barbecue" - out came hawaiian shirts, mullet wigs. It was a nice twist on what is becoming a too common theme. One guy hired a tomato costume so he could be one of those 'adorable' tomato sauce bottles.Mind you, the year before we had a Wild West Party and he came dressed as a cow!
I want to do a "Places I want to visit" for my hubby's next big one.
How about a cocktail party where your guests would come dressed in fancy clothing? You can serve finger foods and several upscale alcoholic drinks. If your budget allows, maybe hire a bartender who would know what drinks are best served with a theme such as this one.

We kept our outfits secret from each other and laughed our socks off as the guests met us - in the pub!!
If you want to go the classy route, l went to a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" themed 30th. All the girls wore little black dresses (some complete with the french twist and pearls too) and the guys just dressed nicely. If you want to go the funny route, my friend also threw a "wig party" where everyone had to come in a wig---most of them were crazy so it was a lot of fun.
