Shouldn't *I* get to decide...?!
Answers: If I want to have a party, shouldn't the idea be mine? One girl at work seems to dislike my idea and and now I'm afraid she will try to get others to stay away. Someone at a store said I should I should ask others what ideas they like best, but I don't think I should have to do that. It will be my party, not theirs, so it should be my idea, not theirs. They have to give into others' ideas. I recently went to a make-up party someone at work held. It was her decision, not mine or anyone else's who attended. The stuff shown was not stuff I use personally, but I still was glad to have gotten to go. I don't want to have to do someone's else's idea, because it may be something I don't like. For example, I'm not a sci-fi freak (but don't hate it), so that won't work for me. I can't wear Victoria's Secret underwear, so I don't want to have one of those. I think I should choose an idea I like. If they have an idea they like, they should do it themselves. Does anyone agree?
The only time their opinion matters is if they are co-hosting.
Do whatever you want. If they don't want to come, they don't have to.
Isn't it amazing how petty the world is getting? Me, me, me.
I agree with chuckles!
Everyone has their own choice when they host a party, so make your idea as appealing as possible.
If you dont like their ideas when they host, you do not have to attend if it offends you so much, but usually your friends will come round, just to see if they actually DO like your idea
just don't share your ideas. tell everyone its a surprise and thats that. If someone starts giving you ideas - you can say thats okay I already know what i am doing
