Hockey Themed Party - Stag & Doe?!

Question: Throwing a party for my friend who is a huge hockey fan - his fiance is as well. The tickets for the event are made to look like hockey tickets, curious if anyone has any ideas for food, drinks and decorations to tie in with the hockey theme.

Stag & Doe is a small town thing where you hold a party for the engaged couple and it makes $ to go towards the wedding - might seem odd to some of you.

For food items - do like a tailgate party or stadium food. You can do brats or sausages on a bun with onions and peppers, nachos, roasted peanuts, ice cream sandwiches or giant pretzels and of course plenty of beer for stadium food.

For a tailgate, anything BBQ would be fine - steaks, dogs, hamburgers, chicken, brats with plenty of potato salad, macaroni salad or cole slaw.

Maybe rent a margarita machine (the slushy kind).

Of course everyone should dress in hockey jerseys or team colors. Maybe have some of the women dress as cheerleaders or dancers.

Set up a broomball game in one corner of the yard. You should be able to get a kid's soccer or hockey net and some nerf or other soft balls and play "hockey" in the back yard.

Get an album or mix of music of "stadium rock" and play that.

Hope this gives you some ideas - have fun.
