Anyone who could give me ideas on what goodies and drinks to prepare for a little pajama party?!
Answers: juniies and cool drinks like beer, softdrinks, home made cocktail drinks would do... add up movies and ghost stories would add a little flavor to your food!! lol!!
Drinks for what age?
Goodies: ice cream bar, different pastries, chocolate fountain with a variety of things to dip. Wings, fries, cheese sticks, chips and dip, hummus, meatballs.
Is this a little pj party for little people? Then have a make your own pizza party using the small individual pizza and put out a variety of toppings. Ditto for a variety of makings for smoothies. Of course you'll probably rent a video so pop corn. Put out a variety of topping for this ie. herbs, parm cheese, cinn. sugar M&Ms, tiny pretzels or nuts allow each guest a bowl of plain pop corn and top their own.
Of course it always helps to have input from the little host or hostess unless it's a surprise.
The old standby's such as pizzas and chips are great, but make sure to have some healthier options as well. Depending on the age group attendining the party, you can go either really sophisticated or super fun. Some good healthy options would be apple slices, strawberries, and bananas with caramel or chocolate dipping sauces. You can alos get fruit and veggie trays or even sandwich trays from most supermarket delis. Good luck and have fun.
Suggestions:
Mini sliders (Made with small bread roll, hamburger meat and have your guests add whatever they want on it, like cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, bacon, etc.)
Grilled cheese sandwich made with Italian bread and Jarlsberg cheese, and cut it up into bite-size pieces.
Mini sausage links wrapped pastry dough (frozen) with different dips: honey-mustard, barbeque, etc.
As far as drinks, have a blender and a variety of fresh or frozen fruits and fruit juices. If serving adults, don't forget the rum!
order pizza when everyone gets there so that everyone can have a say in what to order. have snacks like cookies, goldfish, and fruit. really, all you have to do is go down the snack isle and pick out what you think everyone will like and do the same thing for sodas. or for drinks, you can make shirly temples. alll you need is ginger ale(or sprite) and a little bit of grenadine over ice with cherries on top! yum... or you could d o what i call sunshine punch. it's ginger ale and pineapple juice. its really good too. smoothies and milkshakes are good since everyone can help make them. just be creative and have a good time!
a pink sherbert punch in punchbowel with fruit is always fun. Non alcoholic of course. Rachael Ray had a segment on bananas, where the kids dipped the fruit in chocolate and she had all different toppings that they put on top, sprinkles, coconut, nuts (allergies check) and then put in freezer after she made them into popsicles. The kids enjoyed it
Pigs in a blanket
Chamomile or peppermint tea
cookies cut like stars and moons
warm milk with honey and nutmeg
Don't do anything too too sugary or they'll be up all night. They'll probably be up all night anyway, but less hyper ;o).
brownies are good no matter any occasion and maybe an activity can be cooking a dessert you guys can eat chips, fruit vegetables sub sandwiches
what age group is the party for? for tween age you could have make your own pizza/ice cream sundae stations........for teens maybe more sophisticated with a chocolate fountain with various fruits, maybe a bread fondue, or wings and a make your own salad station......hope they have fun!
