Answers: Oriental Trading Company stuff is so cheap....Is there anyplace online that sells higher quality stuff? I need decorations and party favors for a luau birthday party. thanks. Oh, if you have any creative ideas for this type of party, I'd love to hear them.
I threw a luau themed wedding shower last year and ordered a lot of the decorations from http://www.buycostumes.com We decorated our living room using scene setters rolls so it ended up looking like a tiki hut. We used the thatch weave scene setter on top and bottom and used the thatched roof border going around the very top of our living room. then we added the window view scenes and the hula dancers on top of that. It ends up looking really, really good and it is amazing how it can transform a room and create atmosphere. You can check them out where I ordered them from:

Other than leis I'm not sure what to do for favors. Maybe get some of those coconut shaped cups and fill them with candy.
