Having a Partylite party, buffet style?!

Question: I am having it at 12:30....what should I serve? I am not an ammature at this, but, I would like some NEW ideas. I would like to possibly have a buffet style arrangement...any cool ideas?

at 1230p-i say luncheon

a veggy plate (pickles, celery, cherry tomatoes, olives, etc) with crackers/potatoes chips and 2-3 dips (French Onion, Spanish salsa, cheese)

a cold cut tray with cheeses

Pigs in Blankets

Meatballs in a crock pot (one bbq, one sweet & Sour)

Tuna Salad with small rolls

ham and cheese kabobs

A wine cooler or spiked lemonade for those who drink
water, tea, coffee and soda who those who dont

finger foods:

mini chimichangas
bagel bites
quesadilla's
tacos
egg rolls
pizza cut into small slices

12:30 says lunch to me. You'll want something easy and light, because it's a bunch of ladies and most likely they'll be mingling and balancing plates on their laps. I'd go with a fruit salad, a pesto-pasta salad, and then I'd homemake a big dish of chicken salad and place mini croissants next to it for people to make their own or they can eat it by itself. For drinks I'd make fresh lemonade and iced tea and of course offer a pitcher of ice water with lemon. For dessert I'd do fancy cookies - like pepperage farm - or mini bite sized cheesecakes or carrot cakes. This is the exact menu we had at the last shower I through and it was a huge hit. Especially the chicken salad. Everyone remarked at how "different" it was. I think people get tired of Turkey. Good luck - have fun!

My mom used to make this sandwich loaf for luncheons:

1 loaf fresh bread, unsliced (bakery or homemade)
3 fillings (i.e. chicken, ham, egg salad .. cheese spread)
2 8-oz softened cream cheese
herbs & parsley
Beat cream cheese with a little milk or cream until of spreading consistency. Beat in whatever herbs you like (oregano, parsley, basil, rosemary, salt, pepper - whatever). Set aside.
Slice the bread lengthwise into 4 layers. Put a filling between each layer and restack them. Frost sides and top with the beaten cream cheese. Sprinkle a little more parsley on top. Refrigerate.
To serve: slice like a cake....
VERY UNUSUAL ... easy to serve & easy to eat. DO AHEAD

Serve with a fruit salad... or cut up fruit and dip. DIP: orange yogurt with some Triple Sec or Cointreau beaten in. No one will guess it's yogurt!

Green salad....

Little cookies, petit fours, cream puffs for dessert

Easy for me is ordering chinese food....might be a little costly but I don't have to cook
