I have a 5 year old birthday party what food should i serve, mixed boys and girls coming, party is outdoors.?!

Question: For tots that age? I would make hamburger BBQs (aka 'sloppy joes', 'wimpies', etc)---served w/ chips. Hot dogs too. OR, keep it really simple & have a pizza party.
Great nicely decorated cake, & maybe a batch of cookies too.

Don't forget the basic games, like Pin The Tail On The Donkey, Musical Chairs, etc, & have some terrific like 'prizes' to give out to the winners. Have fun!

A barbeque is a great way to cook outdoors for a party. How about the standard hot dogs and hamburgers. Or you could bbq chicken and serve it on a bun.
Also have a table of chips, veggies and dip.

lots of little finger sandwiches, egg salad peanut butter an fluff, tuna, ham an cheese, also cheese doodles veggie platter, crackers, an lots of juice boxes, ice pops or gogurts. fruit cups.

Instead of a cake, try undecorated cupcakes. Put out frosting in different colors and/or flavors - i.e. yellow and green or chocolate and strawberry (you can get vanilla or white frosting and add food coloring and/or extracts yourself to make what ever colors and/or flavors you want). Add some topping - i.e. candies, sprinkles, fruit, nuts (watch out for allergies) or anything that might be fun . Then let the children frost and decorate their cupcake. Young children can do this and older children will also have fun (even the adults!). This can take a while so plan as an activity at the party (I once saw a 3 year old spend 45 min decorating her cup cake). Just let them have fun and then they can eat their creation. Have Fun!

I will suggest you to serve a lot of sweets ,chocolates, chips, roasted chicken, ice cream, (milk shake)
for the drink i will suggest to serve a variety of cold drinks , fruit juice

You can't go wrong with hot dogs, unless there are some religious/diet restrictions. Kids love 'em. Watermelon on the side, and you should have a success. The good thing about kids is you can keep it simple. Good luck and I hope your party is a tonne of fun!

For my daughters 6th birthday I ordered pizza and had the pizzaria cut the pies into kid size squares. Most kids love pizza and there is less waste then serving large slices.

Cheeseburgers and hotdogs on the grill.

Just have a buffet. Sausage rolls, cakes, cookies, mini pizza's ect...
