Donuts! They're so delicious. But I can't finish a whole donut. I never have been able to. I like donut holes too.

Donuts duh :-) but if you are watching your figure you should perfer a Walnut a day :-)
LOL.

If you don't know what to decide, try taking both!
Try finding a recipe for donuts and exchange one of the ingredients into finely crushed walnuts(example poppy seed donut can become finely crushed walnut donut)

*Walnuts !!!!

didn't know they were interchangeable

Well, I'll take walnuts over donuts just because of the health factor- I live two blocks from the biggest Krispy Kreme in town and I never go there. (I don't even think about the "hot" light, believe it or not.) I'll say that before I was an athlete, I loved donuts and ate a ton of them when I was a teenager. I liked the lemon filled ones, or the custard filled ones. (The biggest disappointment is when they give you 'cream' filled instead of custard filled and you get that lame white frosting inside the donut instead of delicious custard.) I also liked to go to the donut place and get the brand new fresh ones before they put the glaze on them.

What about a walnut donut? Or a walnut beignet? I make beignets a little (a lot) different than most people- I use pate a choux, puff pastry dough, instead of the heavy dough that turns out like a brick. Drop spoonfuls into hot oil and you get these great little puffy clouds of deliciousness that dissolve in your mouth. I think those would be great with little walnut chunks.
