im doing the same thing. i suggest some more details. ( ur age, girls and boys party, etc.)
well for my party im having a twister tournament, pizza for dinner, old scary movies. oh and also im not having boys
if ur not having boys, have a girls night in. clean up ur room and decorate it. place pillows and blankets on ur floor. set out snacks and magazines. u guys could just talk and gossip
if ur having boys and girls, have a movie night. pick out a movie that appeals to girls and boys and set up somewhere (where u will not be disturbed ny ur family) with bean bags and comfortable stuff. set out drinks and snacks and just chill. good luck!

fine use some games and some source of entertainment so that the people ending u r party will enjoy do not make u r party in a rush and donot be panic.use some snacks and food so that the people also won't get tired

Choose a theme, once you do this things will start falling into place. I would suggest going to orientaltrading post.com, they have really cheap decorations and lots of them!
