Hawaiian theme party?!

Question: A birthday party for a 14 yr old.. what sort of food should I serve? I don't want the traditional hawaiian food such as fish, shrimp, and roasted pig... i highly doubt young teenagers will enjoy eating this type of food. I'm looking for simple, declious, food... barbeque ribs? Finger Sandwiches? Hamburgers? What should the main dish be?

Ham and turkey sandwich platters, fruit salad or fruit kabobs, green salad, and individual bags of chips will be just fine. If you want something a little more tropical, go for some barbeque ribs with grilled pineapple rings. Good luck and have fun!

lots of pineapple, little finger sandwiches,Fish, fruit punch,
co-bobs with Cherry's,sausage,& pineapples on it,& in the cups u should have little umbrella's in it.

I would serve pulled pork sandwiches, fruit kabobs, little smokies, tropical trail mix. I have a great coleslaw recipe that would go well with the theme:

CRUNCHY COLESLAW

Ingredients
?1 bag of coleslaw mix
?1 14.5-oz. can of mandarin oranges, drained and sliced into small pieces
?2 green onions, chopped
?1 can of mexi-corn, drained
?? cup Light Miracle Whip
?1 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
?1 tablespoon Lemon juice
?2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Directions
1.Mix coleslaw, mandarin oranges, green onion pieces and corn together gently.
2.Mix mayo, vinegar, lemon juice and sugar together well and pour over coleslaw mix. Mix together gently and serve.
