I'm having a end of school party?????!

Question: I'm having a party at the end of school for all my girlfriends. It's going to be June so I won't have to deal with the weather. The theme is outdoor theater. I'm going to have a laptop and a projector set up in my back yard, with a sheet or something like that to project it on (My dad's a teacher so it should be a clinch to get the projector). I'm getting all of the decor and other stuff from Ikea. How do like this Idea, what movies would you show, and what food would you serve??? I was thinking Chinese, since all of my friends love everything from the local restaurant. Have any Ideas!!!????

Sounds like a great party. Get a movie everyone knows really well, and act out scenes as the movie goes along. And probably a funny movie and a scary movie. Make sure to provide plenty of lawn chairs or have people bring their own beach chairs or blankets or sleeping bags, just in case.

Chinese would be good, and you can get a variety of dishes that everyone could choose from. Pizza would also work and be fairly easy to do.

Make sure to set up a cooler or large tub with ice and plenty of bottled water, sodas and juices so everyone can just grab one throughout the evening. Also, make sure there are enough munchies (chips, pretzels, popcorn, peanuts, m&m's - whatever everyone likes).

If you want to get really fancy, try doing smoothies or frozen drinks - you can probably rent a machine like a slurpee or margarita machine and get some teen-friendly drinks. This wouldn't make as much noise as a blender would.

Set up some tiki torches around the outside of the "theater" for a little extra light and for decoration.

Depending upon where you live, you might want to set up some bug lights or candles to help keep the flies or mosquitoes down.

well if u dont want to go to a reasteraunt try a buffett or have tons of trays of food outside with maybe like a popcorn machine and cotten candy machine...snow cones stuff like that

That sounds really fun. I would show movies everyone kind of knows, so no one has to pay attention the whole time. If I were doing it, I'd show Grease, since we all love it, and everyone knows the songs. I don't know how old you guys are, Grease might be a bit outdated for you, but I think a musical is a good idea in general cause people can sing along and dance, etc.

If you know everyone likes Chinese, it's a good bet. Also, it's not too pricey, and you can get a lot of little things and can accomodate lots of different tastes. If you have a bbq grill, you could also do skewers and burgers for people who arent into Chinese food.

well my sister has just had an end of school bday, and they went 2 da movies, and if i was you i would watch a funni film as that will get the atsmosphere going! Or a scary movie to change the mood. Chinese is a great idea, as you can pick and choose also most people like that! I think the theme 4 your party is really good it will be great fun! Good luck with it all !!!
