Ideas for 80s theme party?!

have everyone dress up in 80's outfits and play 80's music and decorate with lots of lights and colors and 80's decorations.
Madonna and cindi lauper where very popular during that time period so that's some good music you could play.

You should watch the movie Beat Street or Breaking. Play lot's of Run DMC Eric B and Rakim play lots of hip hop!!
There are different types of 80's themes you can do, so it depends on how much you want to narrow it down. As Zemra said, there is the Madonna/Cyndi Lauper part, or you can do a glam-rock theme (think Poison and Motley Crue and Bon Jovi) or there is the Hip-Hop aspect such as Ton-Loc or MC Hammer. I think the Glam rock would be the most fun and then be sure to have tons of that type of music with lots of animal print decorations and stuff!
Morrisons do a cheap 80's music cd for about 3.99, with lots of hits that you will just want to dance and sing!!!
Lots of party nibbles, plenty of booze!!! Streamers some disco lights if you cant afford them cheap flashing christmas ones!!!
You can wear what you like flares, big shoes, ra ra, polka dots. Just have fun!!!

outfits -big bright oversize jumpers with tacky designs worn over skinny leggings, plastic kitcshy earrings, bright neon head bands! not to forget shoulder pads and leg warmers!
