What to do for sweet sixteen??!
i'm thinking about renting out a ballroom at a hotel, but i think it'll probably be a bit expensive.. any other ideas?
Answers: soo my sweet sixteen is next month and i want to do something nice. i think i'll have about 20 friends (but only girls) at it. i want to dress up and everyone wear dresses :)

Speak to your mom about a fun, 'formal' girls night out with your friends that includes dressing up, hair and make-up, a photograph 'session', and end it with a nice dinner somewhere! That would be great and you'll remember it for years to come!
Start planning now and you'll have plenty of time to get it together...
To start you and mom figure out what you want to do, and what you're budget is. If there is a money issue, have your friends that want to join in each give a certain amount of money. Find out what everything will cost, and have your mom figure an amount for each girl to give (they can also buy their own dress, pay for hair and make up [or do eachothers!] and pay for their portion for dinner:
*Each girl would dress up nice- (it's fun to pick a day that all of you girls can shop for dresses together!) nice dresses, do hair and makeup!
*Find a nice place to take pictures for about an hour- where I live, we have a really cool botanical garden and it's so pretty! You can use a digital camera OR if you mom is willing to book a photographer- they can be reasonably priced for an hour if you look around now.
*Then have a nice dinner somewhere (make sure to have mom make reservations about a week before, or when you know how many of your friends will be attending).
We did this with some of our girls at church (youth group) about four years ago and they still remember how much fun it was! We even rented them a limousine for a couple of hours!

you don't need a ballroom to be dressed up and dance pick the biggest room in your house and clear out all of the furniture then either get a DJ or just play some Cd's and have fun
why not have a posh dinner party at home and decorate the table with good cutlery,dinner service and have a beautiful flower arrangement in the middle[maybe in silk so you can keep it as a memory] and have lit candles on the table. then see if you can have a male who can stand in as a waiter and dress them in a tuxedo or something. Then ask your friends to come dressed in posh dresses. You could even have a makeup party for afterwards
you would need a theme you would buy a pretty dress you should probally watch my super sweetsixteen. me and my sister watch it all the time it will help you think of some good ideas. write to me when you get a idea.
lol are kidding me you are turning 16 and you dont want guys at your party, and why the hell would you want to rent a ball room hall so you can dance with other girls in pretty out fits who are they dressing to impress other girls or are you like a lesbian or somthing?
