If you were at my party, and I said potluck, I would be overcome with joy to see you bringing in a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries! Fruit is expensive, and people rarely bring fruit or cheese (or maybe this is because I'm middle-class and most of my friends are on a tight budget). I would love chocolate-dipped strawberries!

Should be fine. I don't see why it would be tacky unless you only brought 2 for a large party?

It's potluck so you can bring anything you want and yes it is tasteful and tasty

You could take chocolate covered strawberries to anything and it would be ok.............

I like those!!!
What my frends and fam do with those choco coated fruits is if were having a potluck, we bring multiple fruits and that choco coating...its yummy! you can try that maybe... bananas r good for it! and pretzels!
I think if u bring it to the potluck it would be TASTY!!!
Bon Appetit!!!
:D

absoutely! Just bring about 2 per person (at least) ... It isn't tacky, since you've gone to alot of trouble to find perfect strawberries and dip them yourself:) ... It shows alot more "class" than someone who stopped to get a bottle of wine on the way to the party......

Yea its fine but u should add sprinkles to it =[)

no it wouldn't be tacky*
Pot Luck - is bring whatever you want, but please bring something to help out*

ive been the one before to bring dinner rolls, or chips for the kids
i've made cookies, cupcakes to bring
and ive also made lasagna, sweet and sour meatballs......

but the choc. covered strawberries..you'll be the hit of the party* and be invited to all partys with your speciality strawberries* YUM* care to share the recipie*?

YUM!!!! If they tell you it's tacky and THEY don't want them, I'll take them! They've been a huge hit at any pot luck where I've seen them.

I think it's actually very creative and thoughtful. Especially when no one specifies what you should bring, it's really hard to know and inevitably you end up with 3 salads and several other copycat dishes. With chocolate covered strawberries you are pretty much guaranteed to be the only one bringing them. And you are sharing something that you really enjoy with others. Your effort and thoughtfulness will be greatly appreciated by the host!!

I think that that is a great idea!!!!!! That way you dont have to go to much troubel to make alot of them!!!!!! Great idea.

Not tacky at all. If you get there early enough, they could be used for an appetizer.
They're so easy to make but lots of people haven't tried them. It would be fun and a great conversation piece!
