omg im having my 12th b-day party (close to 13) and well this is what im doing (depending on if you r just having girls, or boys and girls) ok so im having boys and girls, so basically im just like getting a cheap dj to play all my favorite songs, were gonna be outside with footballs and soccerballs and stuff, were gonna have a pinata (lol), water balloons, and just chill, but its gonna be soooo much fun! maybe you can get some ideas from me! hope i helped

Find a Game Works near you and go there. it dont cost to much and it is soooooooooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!
get one of those inflatible jumperhouses in your back yard. It seems like a little kid thing but its actually very fun
Maybe have a house party. invite friends. have food, drinks, music, and a great cake. there are many kinds of party's.

Have everyone dress up in genie type costumes and have a fortune teller come to the house and play some type of game related to Arabian Night theme.
how a bout (if wheather nice) a bbq part wiv loud music and just chill with ya friends in ya yard or summit

Have an old fashioned (70s) fondue party and dress 70s and play 70s music (for a while). At a traditional fondue party you sit girl, boy and if you lose your food into the fondue pot you have to kiss the person on your right or left. I suggest on the cheek!
At 13, makeup is so much fun to play around with... so why not do a Glamour Spa theme... Buy some wild nail polish colors, some tubes of facial treatment masks, lipsticks, and give each other manicures, pedicures and facials.
For a good laugh, divide up into teams of up to four people each. Each team will separate into different rooms so they can't see each other. Each team will create a prom dress out of toilet paper, wrapped right on the body of whoever the team decides should be the model. Provide at least 2 rolls per team so they can go nuts and create a prom dress from another planet, or whatever.
Set a timer so it will be fair... then give prizes for different categories.... worst looking, best looking, skankiest, ... whatever words you use to describe your "look."
You can also give awards or prizes for the worst hairdo, worst makeup, most glamourous makeup.... Take tons of photos and give everyone a bottle of nail polish to take home. You will have lots of laughs!
Why not do cartoon character theme party.
