I would bring 75-100. My hubbys and my bills runs about 125 with beer/shots.

Heck no, I'd take a minimum of $100, probably more like $150 to be safe. I'd expect to spend around $70-80 of it just having a good time and not limiting myself to having only water to drink or 2 cokes at the comedy club, and maybe going to a bar afterwards or grabbing a late night slice of pizza.

Here's what I'd probably spend if it were me:

Burger/Tea or Coke/Split an appetizer at Chili's=$16 with tip
Cover and 2 beers at comedy club =$32 with tip
Bar after comedy club, 2 beers, no cover =$11 with tip
Slice of pizza and drink =$4

That's $63 even if I'm just having a nice evening, nothing crazy.

Chili's is going to run you around at least $12 with the tip, unless you have just a hamburger and water. Even then it will cost you around $10 with the tip. And that's assuming you don't split an appetizer with your group.

Comedy club drinks are at least $3 each, plus the tip for the wait staff. So with $20 cover you're talking around a minimum of $30 at the comedy club.

Even if you spend the bare minimum of getting a hamburger with water to drink and no appetizers at Chili's, and 2 Cokes at the comedy club, you're still looking at spending at least $45 or so.

If your friends want to go to a bar afterwards and you get to the door and there's a $5 cover charge, what do you do? You look like an *** borrowing money from your friends, and then you look like an *** asking them to cover your tab inside. So forget going to a bar or even grabbing a late night slice of pizza after that, your wallet is already empty.

Even if you can do that and barely get by on the $50, you're going to be worrying the whole night about whether you have enough money to cover everything. Why do you wanna let the worrying about whether you have enough money with you affect your enjoyment of the evening?

Stop being a cheapskate and pony up. Just because you take more than enough money to cover everything doesn't mean you have to spend it all. Besides, what's the point of even going out to have a good evening at all if you're going to sabotage how good a time you'll have by worrying the whole time if you brought enough money with you?

idk
