Help on my Camping Birthday...?!
Answers: Hello. For my 14th birthday, I'm going camping with 6 of my girlfriends, and my dad. We are going for two nights to a place really close to the beach, so we get to go there too. Anyways, so whenever i look on the computer for camping party ideas, it comes up with stuff in the backyard and stuff. I want to have like a theme within the camping theme. like maybe survivor, but not so much that its to an island, ya know? so. like. can u give me ideas for games, and stuff to do? like. idk if im explaining myself well... oh well. 10 points for the best answer :)
Play invasion, kickball, umm you could tell stories at night in the tent....play 21 questions! That will get things going haha
Camping Supplies: Two Activities
What you need:
Choose from any or all of the following camping essentials, or just use the list for reference:
One essential item: maps.
* Finding your way: Compass, map
* Food-related: Water bottle, food, emergency rations (raisins, chocolate, nuts), utensils, stove/fuel, mess kit, mug, can opener, matches, water purification tablets
* Protection from the elements: Rain poncho/waterproof boots, change of clothes, gloves and hat, windproof jacket, sleeping bag, sleeping mat
* Miscellanous: Flashlight, pocket knife, rope, first-aid kit, tent, money, flares, personal washing gear, book or playing cards
Memory game: Put some of the listed items on a tray or under a blanket, let everyone see the items for 1 or 2 minutes, then give everyone paper and pencil and have each person write down as many things as they can remember in 3 (or 5) minutes. Give a prize to the person who remembers the most number of items.
Imagination game: Ask your campers to compile a list, as a group, of what's needed for a camping trip. Then see how their list compares to the list above. Don't be surprised if a cell phone, portable CD player, and favorite snacks make their list. Talk about ways you might carry all that equipment on a hiking trip, what you'd leave behind first, and in what situations you'd use certain things like rope, money, or emergency rations.
scavenger Hunt
The idea of a scavenger hunt is to find all the items on a list and return them to a designated place as quickly as possible. There are many ways to organize a hunt and many choices to make. You can play as individuals or on teams either inside the house or outside. Here are a few ideas to try:
* All items on the list are easily found in the backyard (they can be hidden before the party). Things like a red leaf, matchstick, old bottle or can, feather, etc.
* Each person or team is given a different list of items to find by asking people around the neighborhood.
* Alphabet hunt—must find something for each letter of the alphabet.
* Indoor hunt where each person looks for things and checks them off their list when they find them without picking them up.
* Newspaper hunt—each person is given a list of words, sentences, advertisements, or photographs that are to be cut out or circled in a newspaper.
