for your sign you could shorten it to "Tes's Sweet Treats" or "The 16th Stop Sweet Shoppe"...OOOHHH Spencers gifts has those metal street signs... im pretty sure they have a "sweet street" one... but if you made the sign yourself you could do the letters in sprinkles or hard candy.

for favors you could give away those custom m&ms and have tessas sweet 16 printed on them and those mini bottles of gum drop bubble bath from bath and body
and for your invites you could give candy bars and print your own wrappers with
"tessa's sweet 16
date
time
blah
blah"
with a picture of a gum drop in the background or skittles or something
and for your dress you could where a solid white mini dress and have someone you know(or you could probally do it yourself) make lagre sized sparlky gum drops in alldiffrent colors to line the bottem of your dress.
good luck

you totally need a ferrari cake.

somethin that would be really cool is if the could contruct like a big gumball machine that people can put their presents and stuff in!!

here are just some idea for a site....

Make it great with one of these cool twists:
? Take a limo ride around town
? Have a tarot card reader tell fortunes
? Hire a henna tattoo artist
? Book a dance teacher to give lessons in salsa or hip-hop
? Host a singing or dancing contest where guests perform

Honor the birthday person’s favorite people with a special candle-lighting ceremony. Before the party, choose the 16 most special people in the birthday person's life. Keep the candles on the cake unlit, and ask each of the 16 people to come up individually and light one of the candles

Problem is, not everyone can afford to spend so much on a 16 year old birthday.

So what can you do?

For starters, make it a more personal party. Get her to invite her closest friends and rent a place that can house everyone for that sweet sixteen bash. Arrange for transport if necessary. It could be a chalet, a villa or someone's home. Pick a place that she would like, which will not bankrupt you.

The company matters. A huge pile of DVDs of her favourite movies and tv series would keep everyone entertained if you get snowed in. Board games with loved ones are a cheaper way to spend time than shopping at expensive boutiques.

Some of the best things in life are free, while others cost money. Then again, you can buy things with your time and opinions. There are some pretty cool freebies for people living in U.S. up for grabs, so if you live there, take advantage of these offers and pick up whatever vouchers and gadgets that she might like, and put them in a treasure chest for her. Or as prizes for the party games.

Or you could just hide the treasure chest full of goodies you got for free and leave a trail of clues for a treasure hunt that stretches throughout the party. Hey, if she likes spooky stuff, you could rent a broken down, spooky looking home and hide the treasure there, with some special effects for scares. Then they can play treasure hunt in the haunted house.

Or gather as many vouchers as you can and go on a shopping spree with her. A fancy dinner could be held in a grand restaurant, a hotel ballroom or in someone's home that is decorated with light sculpures and candles for ambience.

At the end of the day, it is the company that counts. If she is with the people whose company she enjoys the most, she would have a happy sweet sixteen birthday.

put candy around but make it candy all over! You can have a candy hunt, and give your friends candy on their way out, you can guess how many peices of candy can fit in one jar. So many things to think of!

You do need to have some none sweets to balance out your party so no one gets sick. My daughter wanted a dinner party for hers so we made spag and meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo, salad an bread sticks, along with her cheesecakes and birthday cake and ice cream.
Happy early birthday,

I saw this at a wedding. They took a bunch of different kinds of candy and put them in attractive bowls and had little bags to put your candy in them. And then they used address labels to stick to the out side of the bags, saying something like "It was sweet of you to come to my party." "Thanks for coming, your name" So you have the right idea. Why don't you do a chocolate fountain ? I went to another wedding and they had one set up with pretzels, strawberry's, marshmallows, rice crispy treats, and potato chips you can dip in the chocolate.

i agree with the guy that said a car cake. sweet 16 = driving, freedom, you know. sounds fun, i remember my sweet 16, pretty lame, but yours sounds cool. have fun and happy birthday!

Icecream cake. They're cheap and oh so sweet.
