Sweet 16??!

Question: ok,
it's my best friends 16th birthday soon and we are planning it together. considering we are a tad quirky when it comes to style etc, we are thinking of a kiddy theme party with fairy bread etc etc OR an 80's theme party instead of a typical lunch and movie.
got any more ideas as we are on a tight budget and are hopefully to have it at a local park or something?
what type of props etc should we use and whats the best way to make the party one to remeber?

I threw a Sweet 16 for my sister last year. It was a Costume Party. Everyone just had to drag out an old Halloween Costume- couldn't get in without wearing one! It was fun!

Both of the themes you chose are fun too. 80's is pretty popular though. A Kiddy theme is fun. You can play goofy kid games like, Red Rover and Tag! And kiddy music! Like, Disney...etc.

Music is a must at an party. It it's going to be in a park, bring a battery operated CD player.

You just have to use your imagination!!!

And remember- take LOTS of pictures- that is the way you will remember it best. Then make a nice album of them for the birthday girl.

Have fun!
