What are some good ideas for an 18th birthday tea party ?!

Question: I am throwing a tea party for my 18th birthday and I have not planned anything except give out invitations. I need some help with the music. I really do not want some flowery, classical music that would make the party a senior citizen's party. Do any of you know any good bands that are just chill to listen to but you can also dance a little too?

All the guests would be 16-18 years old.

I am also having trouble figuring out what we could do instead of eating. I really do not want to do those cheesy games. Do you guys have any idea what we could do?

Are there any decoration ideas also?

have a bbq, sausages, steak, various salads, onions, sauces, breadrolls. Have lollies and chocolate just out for any one to drink. Have an esky with coke and lemonade and any other drinks u like.

You can hire a disco thing that has hundreds of songs so ur guests can choose what they want. Include songs from the year u were born and old favourites from when u were a kid.

Dont go all out with the decorations, some balloons on the gate and stuff.

If u have a pool table and tennis table then thats great, do that!

PLay murder in the dark outside (seems kiddish but thats wat i did and it was a blast!)

Just have fun, relax, chill with friends and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

How about some music by Rod Stewart he's timeless and has a variety of music out.

Also why not decorate with vintage hats, his and hers. Since it is proper for the gals to wear hats and white gloves to a tea. You can use these as decorations. Also some boa's.

you can listen to outkast

Rod Stewart, Journey, Eagles, Bon Jovi - anything fun and chill music wise.

Do manicures and pedicures - after you eat/drink tea - it's a nice way to pamper your self and will take up time without doing cheesy games lol or watch classic movies after your tea (Gone with the Wind, Cassablanca, anything with elizabeth taylor or audrey hepburn will work)

Here are some party ideas for a tea party. They're games that all ages can have fun with. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...
