I love the cupcakes with the butterflies on the top. And they are so easy to make. Just take a different color frosting and make a small line. Then make two antennae on the head. Then take almond slivers and stick them at an angle into the frosting to give it the three d effect.
Hearts, and butterflies are always cute!
A bear paw: 1 peppermint patty, with 3 junior mints along the top of the peppermint patty to make a paw. So cute. So easy.

I just made these cute ones for a baby shower. Its a butterfly made of two mini-pretzels, icing, and a candy piece (like an M&M or something). Search for Butterfly Cupcake on marthastewart.com and youll see them. It was so easy!
PS: I did not use the licorice bit for the antenae and it still looked like a butterfly.
Well, in fourth grade we had to do a project. the project was to show how to do something and i chose how to decorate cup cakes. you actually had to!! so i took those twizzler strands and made a lady bug!!! i had those chocolate circles with the white stuff on top and had those be the spots. you can decorate them how ever you want. they were REALLY CUTE once i was done. you can use any type of candy and decorate it any way you want to!!!
The easiest way to decorate would be to frost the cupcakes like normal. Then have bowls with nuts, different colored sprinkles or colored sugar in them. Carefully dip the frosted cupcakes in the toppings to finish decorating them.
