My 18th birthday party...... theme ideas!?!
I'm thinking of hiring out a venue with a hall, lounge, and a bar..
My friends band should be playing hopefully (their quite big here, their signed & recording their album at the moment! so that should be good).
Then having a DJ, and lots of good music- or just hiring a sound system and asking my friend to DJ for me (as i know he has experience & will play decent music!).
Basically... i want to try and think of a THEME for my party.
To base the rest around (decorations etc)..
Any ideas?
I want it to be abit different :).

Hey, sounds like a great party..but i know what you mean, the theme can be the icing on the cake to make your big night really memorable.
A theme that would fit perfectly would be a 'Full Moon Party'.
Basically... glow sticks, neon clothes, UV body paint and a hell of a lot of mayhem! i.e get your rave on!!
Decorations could include a tiki style facade for the bar..you could even ask the bar staff if they could let you customise a few cocktails to make them fit your party theme..i.e mix up some exotic concoctions and create some good names.

You could do a "rap video" theme. Or you could do an "emergency" theme where everyone dresses up like an emergency worker (fireman, police officer, etc.).
