Bunco ideas - HELP!!!?!


Question: I am hosting Bunco @ my house this month. Any ideas on what to serve?? Appetizers??? Possibly a cute theme??
I want to serve something different, but not too foreign :>)

"April Showers bring May Flowers" ... seed packets with little flower pots; little herb gardens; gardening tools; flower scented candles; umbrellas; ... just wander through Home Depot's garden department for cute little things......

LEMON MELTING MOMENTS
1 pint (2 c) whipping cream
1/2 c. super fine sugar
juice of 4 lemons
grated zest of 2-4 lemons
2 TB. sweetened condensed milk
8-10 fresh strawberries for garnish
Combine all ingredients, except berries, in large, well-chilled mixing bowl and beat until very thick. Divide among parfait glasses (or small, clear plastic cups) and chill until ready to serve. Top each with a strawberry ... makes 8-10 (but you could make more in smaller cups)

PETITE CHERRY CHEESECAKES
2 (8 oz) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 TB. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
24 vanilla wafers
1 can cherry pie filling
Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, lemon juice & vanilla until light and fluffy. Line muffin pans with cupcake papers and place a vanilla wafer in the bottom of each. Fill the cups 3/4 full with cream cheese. Bake at 375 for 15-20 min, or until set. Top each with about 1 TB. of pie filling and chill. Makes 24

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
1 (12 oz) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chunky peanut butter
6 c. miniature marshmellows
Melt together chips & peanut butter until well blended. Fold in marshmellows. Pour into greased 8 or 9" square pan. Chill and cut into bite-size pieces

Veggie platter with dip (make radish roses)..... Fruit platter with dip (orange or lemon yogurt, with a little brandy well mixed into it) .... pretzels and nuts ....

ARTICHOKE SQUARES
2 (6 oz.) jars marinated artichoke hears, cut up
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
4 eggs
1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. EACH pepper, oregano and tabasco
1/2 lb. shredded cheddar cheese
1 TB. minced parsley
Mix everything together and put into greased 7x11" baking pan. Bake at 325 for 30 min, or until set. Cut into squares and serve (hot, cold or room temp) - DO AHEAD

SALMON PATE
2 (1 lb.) can red salmon
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 TB. lemon juice
2 tsp. grated onion
1 tsp. prepared horseradish
1/4 tsp. EACH salt and liquid smoke
3 TB. chopped parsley
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Drain and flakesalmon, removing skin & bones. Season with next 6 ingredients; mix well. Chill several hours. Combine pecans & parsley. Form salmon mixture into a ball and roll in parsley & nuts (or just sprinkle over the top)... Chill well and serve with crackers ..... DO AHEAD

All of these recipes are DO AHEAD, and little things that people can pick up and eat while they're playing ... no mess, no fuss .....
