20th Birthday Surprise Party?!

Question: I know everyone has asked this at some point on YA, but I need help. My friend is turning 20 next week, and next Friday me and a few other people want to throw her a small surprise party. Because of space limitations, etc the party will be in my unfinished basement.There's a couch, a bed, extra dining table, plenty of chairs and space. Only a handful of people are coming(no more than 10). I had an idea for a "night" themed party- black and silver colors, dance music, etc but I'm having second thoughts as there isn't that many people coming. I would like a theme, but I'm tired of the hawaiian lua, costume, etc ideas. I'm asking for suggestions, input on my "night theme" idea, and any alternative themes appropriate for a small group of people? Thanks guys! :)

you should do a new orleans mardi gras theme! people could wear lots of colorful beaded necklaces, and the masks....

Why not a dinner party? or a "cocktail" party? You can make mocktails and have a classy evening.
