Anyone have any new ideas 4 a polka dot party for a 5 year old girl? The colors are hot pink, lime,& purple.?!
Answers: Make a 3 layer cake (graduated layers) with each layer a separate color. You can buy neon food coloring in the grocery store now ..... If you can't find favors with dots, buy those stick-on dots in the stationery section of any store, and put them on bright visors (really cheap at Michael's or Hobby Lobby), or other decorations ..... In fact, Hobby Lobby had a ton of bright patio decorations out the other day! Those whirly-gig flowers, that the wind blows, and some little buckets, and little umbrellas.... If you go to the M&Ms website, you can custom order M&Ms with whatever sayings you want, in whatever colors you want. You could strew them down the center of the table.....
If you haven't given out invites yet, make them circles in the colors that you have choosen, try to tell everyone to wear polka dots. Decorate the room with different color polka dots...actually go to this website. I use it for all of my party ideas!

polka dot table cloths, or use a regular white table cloth get some boxes and put the food on top of boxes you have decorated with polka dot wrapping paper. make little finger foods or cakes with little polka dots made out of cream cheese or with frosting colored to match your colors. Have you found any party favors for the kids like those blowers that coil like a snake and you blow out? those kinds with polka dots on them?
you could paint paper plates those colors for cheap decorations. You could even have them do these for crafts at the party young ones love to do crafts. Make cupcakes with dots on them and stickers of different colored stickers to make your party favors polka dotted. Like smalll bubble containers (wedding supplies have small clear bottles usually 24 for about 5.00)
