Planning a bithday party for a friend turning 45?!
Answers: ok so i have a friend who birthday is next week and i want to plan a little get togther for her not to many ppl the most 10 need idea for food and drinks
chat.freak101 you are a very sad case. I'm turning 45 soon, I also have children ages 25, 20, 18, and 16 and we always throw parties for each other every year. I feel so very sorry for you because you must have parents that don't like you very much.
On to other business:
How about a dinner party. Cook their favorite meal, set the table and eat together as group. I appreciate that sort of time with my kids and friends because we are all participating as group and not mingling around in separate corners. To add a fun side to the party have all the guests bring a gag gift, something personal to the birthday gal but not insulting. I don't know if y'all are a card playing group but you might consider playing a card game to keep the party from getting dull.
That's what I would want anyway. Oh and don't forget the cake and ice cream. Have fun!!!!!
Beer and hamburgers. Oh, and those little hot dog things.
I love the Iceland party food! Are you American or British? If you're British you should definately go to Iceland and pick up some of their mini treats. Mini sausage rolls, finger sandwiches, and chicken nuggets! Mmmm!
well i suggest maybe some wings, some kind of chip and dip, maybe a vegetable tray. or you could go cold cut platter cheese and crackers, some wine, beer, if not drinkers you could make some kind of punch. internet is great for those recipes. have a great party.
If she's wild and carefree - Hot wings, meatballs and
chips/salsa, Pina Coladas
If she's artsy and cultured - go appetizers like mini-quiches,
cheese cubes/fruit and chocolate fondue, wines
If she falls somewhere in the middle - go burgers (don't forget
the chili) and fries, rum & coke, beer
Or think of what SHE likes... Hot? Mild? Saucy? Snacky? Healthfood?
Have fun with your party
BTW - With that attitude Chat's not gonna make it to 45...
Drinks: A variety of pop, water, maybe beer and wine.
You could either have a sit down dinner and serve something easy and tasty like a lasagna with garlic bread and a tossed salad.
Or you could serve a bunch of appetizers in a buffet style. Ex. set up a table with devilled eggs, bread and dip, mini sandwiches, potato salad, veggie sticks, fruit platter, mini quiche, etc.
Why not keep it casual and go for a mexican theme with margaritas; tequilla, salt and lemons. Nachos, and all the fresh ingredients for do it youself tacos. Every family occassion my family requests an avocado dip of .... # bottom layer of refried mexican beans ......# middle layer of avocado mashed with mayo.......# top layer of sour cream blended with taco seasoning mix......garnished with capsicum/shallots and grated cheese......served with corn chips. What a good friend you are - enjoy the party and remember - the guests wont remember the food but they will remember the company.
I suggest bufalo wings, chip and dip, potato salad, soda, pizza, chicken, salad, thats all i can think of at this point.
....why would u give an old man/woman a b-day party?
im 13 and i don't have b-day parties
let the man die alone and unhappy.
