Ideas for teacher appreciation luncheon?!

Question: I am on the T.A. committee at my school. For teacher appreciation week in May, we are giving small gifts each day and then having a luncheon on Friday. We have decided that we would like the theme to be an Italian/Murder Mystery theme, but we are having a hard time thinking of a name that ties it all together. (last year it was the Great Wall of Teachers and we served Chinese food and the year before that the theme was Too Hott To Handle and we served mexican food and gave mugs as gifts)
We also have to give a small gift each day and put them in their mailboxes. Any ideas? it would have to tie into the italian/murder mystery theme. We are trying to find things that are inexpensive as we have a very small budget. (even things we could home make would be great)
We also are trying to find a short version of a murder mystery game that could be played very easily. does anyone know of a website that i could find an example at?

Thanks so much!

For the murder mystery portion, you could do a "live play" version of the board game Clue. If it is at your school, I assume you have enough people to play all the parts, just give them Italian names, and then use the different classrooms to represent the rooms in the mansion from the board game.

The food part should be easy. Pasta, Italian ice creme.

I am not sure how many weapons in Clue are used, but you could give gifts that have some sort of tie to the rope, wrench, candle stick, etc.

As for the name? "Spaghetti and Soprano's", "Meatballs and Murder", "The Da Vinci Code Part 2"

Good luck.

Mama Mia that's an Awesome Teacher

put clues in their mailbox - one day put a clue which leads them to the freezer for an ice cream treat, etc.

Clue, Pizza or Spaghetti, Murder weapon toys, Fake blood, Halloween accessories, And the Name can be Meatballs and a Mystery

Awww teacher, is this where you guys come.

Teachers, you are to die for!
