Ingredients for a good party:
Good people - even some random gatecrashers can be fun!
Food - this always seems to go fast though!
Music - play something that everyone likes and will get up and dance or sing along to

- A bit of a themed fancy dress always works well
- Great mix of music - or to suit your theme
- Do some punch or cocktails
- Depends what type of party but maybe some funny and/or naughty party games - such as competing pairs to get an ice cube up one leg and up and round down to the other leg in the fastest time - works best when women are moving it in around men's jeans!!
- Karaoke or sing-star is always great and a laugh
- Lots of food!!!

Think carefully about the guest list!. Don't invite every single one of your friends, but do think about people you know who might have things in common that they would enjoy talking about, even if they've never met before!. Have lots of food, mostly cooked ahead of time, so that you won't be stuck in the kitchen the whole time!. Most importantly, always appear to be relaxed and enjoying yourself, even if you're not!. Yep! Have had some blinders!. Often spontaneous ones where everyone just ends up at my house and we crack open a few bottles!. So there, the secret is always keeping a healthy supply of booze in the fridge!.
For planned parties I pull all the stops out, but I love cooking so i don't mind!. My best ones were themed ones: a Mexican party and a Moroccan one!. Lots of themed finger-food and again, plenty to drink!. Good music, a mixture of people and plenty of space!. I tend to put away all things that I'd gutted if they got broken, so I too can chill out and enjoy the evening!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
