What should you absolutely remember to serve at a barbecue?!


Question: What should you absolutely remember to serve at a barbecue!?
This summer, I'm planning to host a barbecue at the lake for four of my friends!. What are some foods/implements I should not neglect to have by any means!? (Note: Only burgers and hot dogs will be served, not steaks!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

can be made well in advance and is oh so yummy!.

Potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw!. These three are a must at any BBQ!.
After eating lunch you could also have marshmallows, chocolate bars, and graham crackers handy for smores!. But don't forget some skewers for the marshmallows, otherwise you will be hunting around the lake for sticks to use instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

burgers & hot dogs need - buns, cheese, katsup (sp), mustard, & plates!. Added bonuses would be relish, pickles, napkins, & soda or iced tea (if you get 2 liters don't 4get the cups)!. Are you having chips for a side!? If not make a potato or macarnoi salad & be sure to bring forks!. All of this will require a small cooler & ice

Cheese for the burgers, all the additions like pickles and onions etc!., some sort of fruit salad, mixed drink makins, potato salad preferably homemade, chips!.!.!.maybe a few snacky things like veggies with dip, chicken wings or buffalo wings whatever they're called!.!.!.don't really need too too much since it's just 5 of you!. Fruit Salad (hollow out 1/2 watermelon, and fill it back up with the cut-up fruit) !.!.!.!. Coleslaw (get a little storebought, and mix it with a bag or 2 of shredded cabbage, with 1-2 TB!. horseradish & some dried dillweed - dry roasted peanuts are a nice touch too) !.!.!.!.!. Bean Salad (stay fresh on a buffet table, outside for a long time - just open cans of cut green beans, kidney, garbanzo, wax beans with some sliced onions & Balsamic vignarette dressing) !.!.!.!.!. Potato Salad !.!.!. different kinds of buns (like onion or Kaiser rolls) !.!.!. several different kinds of mustard, BBQ sauce, etc !.!.!.!. Do you have a way of keeping things cold!? That makes a big difference!. Potato Salad, deviled eggs and baked beans always seem to be popular at the cookouts I've attended!. My biggest pet peave is when people don't have a variety of choices to drink, or run out of for that matter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

DESSERT!!!!! A big dirt cake would be fun or a chocolate eclair cake!. Both are rich and yummy, but easy to make!. Recipes are easy to find at Allrecipes!.
Other than that- salads, buns, condiments and beverages od choice!.

Plenty of ice, condiments, garbage bags, don't use paper products, get plastic/melamine plates and such a walmart or the dollar store and wash them at home!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know if you will consider this a must, but i'm still going to give you this idea!.
We have forgoten to have a salad with our food, no matter what we are going to eat!.
So i will recomend you to have a fresh green salad with some dressing, i would appreciate to have some of it before a big burger!.
And you can have some vegetables for your guest to add to their burger or hot dog by themselfs!. It could be letucce and avocado slices!. For example, in Mexico we use to add some slices of tomato, onion and of course chilitos to the hotdogs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
