Half of the guests can't come to my 21st!?!

Question: Half of the guests can't come to my 21st!!?
I'm really disapointed and sad that half of my birthday guests can't come to my birthday dinner!. I can't hold anything big, but I invited what friends I have (7) and family to a restaurant for a dinner!. Half of my friends can't come either because they are away (it's term holidays) and one cant come cos her son just broke his leg!. I feel stupid only having three friends coming and don't know what to do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is your special day!.!.!.dont let a few friends not coming to a birthday dinner ruin that for you! Be thankful for the friends that are coming and have a good time! Being worried or angry about not a lot of people showing up will just put a damper on the day and ruin your big day! Share some drinks with the ones you love and enjoy the big day!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is nothing stupid about that, the three friends that are coming are obviously good friends plus you will have your family there!. It will be a more intimate 21st, at least you will be able to talk to everyone and enjoy your evening more!. If you feel that bad why not hold another meal when everyone can make it as well as the meal you are having!? I would prefer the more intimate meal then sitting there worriying that you havent spoken to everyone in the last ten mins, relax and enjoy your evening!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Enjoy yourself anyway!. It's still your birthday!. You'll regret it if you stay home and sulk your way thru your 21st birthday!. If you want you can take it for what it is and enjoy it as a more personal situation!. If your plan is to get bombed, you may not even remember who was there anyway, right!? Don't beat yourself up over this!. Life could truly be so much worse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a caterer by trade and the norm for any party is always 10% of the total number you invite to 25% so you are doing good!. You could cancel and the next week others will have something else going on!. It's just how life goes!. Remeber that when you are invited to something and NOT to feel bad about not being able to attend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cheer up!
Just make sure you keep the numbers you have, talk to everyone and see if anyone has any ideas and tell them your problem so no one else pulls out!.
I've never had a party as such in case no one turns up so I know your fear!
Personally I prefer low key more intimate events!.
For my 21'st I had a group of about 6 mates and just went to a club!.
Just relax, plan something nice and enjoy yourself!.
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well just go have a good time and talk to random people you might find that they have the same interests as you, if you find that they are real jerks walk away saying " sucks to have your ego!" and go talk to someone who seems more shy then that person!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is nothing you can do, except make the most of the situation and not dwell on it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Be happy you have 3 friends that are going!.
I had a birthday where it was entirely cancelled because my brother got hurt at his softball game!. Total bummer and they never made it up for me either!Www@FoodAQ@Com
