This will be extremely expensive a dinner will be less costly contrary to what most people believe an appetizer party is more expensive than a dinner when it comes to many people it generally is priced on the number of people!.and number of pieces!. I understand you are doing it on your own the number of bites per person will be around 10 so at 250pp that is a lot of food to prep!. Plus dessert then you will need the pots the ones you get for a small group at the local store will not be efficient as you will need to continually refill and the cheese etc!. will not be melted properly!. This could potentially be a total disaster if you didn't have it catered professionally!. I would think twice about this idea with this amount of people!. This is what I do for a living and I wouldn't take on that job as I am not prepared for it with the right tools!. Good LuckWww@FoodAQ@Com
i agree with the other 2 posters!.!. fondue is going to be very costly!.!.!.!.!.you need several types of cheese!.!. things to dip!.!. also maybe a chocolate and then stuff to dip into the chocolate!.!.!.and you need either electric pots or candles!.!.either way these pots have to be watched so the stuff doesn't burn!. and also watched so that the food is kept clear of people accidentally dropping things in!. i don't think that this is a very good party theme if you want to go cheaper!.!.!. i do think that the appetizers are a good idea!.!.!. seeing as how you are going to have so many people!.!. are all these people close !? maybe a potluck where other people bring stuff!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
This could be very costly! You need to have fondue pots, 1 for each dish!. Instead of using the fondue sticks you could use skewers!.(Long toothpicks)

Jaydee is right!. I think you are looking at a lot of cost and work!. Fondues are fun for small groups!. An appetizer party would be fun and maybe probably cheaper!. But feeding 250 will still cost plenty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
