Black and white themed party help?!
My Friends and i are throwing a black and white themed party for my friend, and it all has to be centered around the digital camera we are getting her for her 15th birthday!. I would really love some great ideas and it will be outside and we don't have a whole lot of money to spend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Along with the black and white tablecloths, balloons, napkins, flatware, cups, plates, steamers, etc!. I do love the idea of having everyone wear black and white only!.
If you want to add a pop of color, what color is the camera that you got her!? I know a lot of camera have a colors and if the one you got her is pink or blue, etc, add that as an accent to the party!. This way she'll wonder where the other color ties in and that's where the camera comes in!. If the camera is pink, add pink balloons and streamers, if the camera is silver, add silver, etc!. This way the party is also based around the camera the way you wanted it to be!. Everywhere will wonder why there's another color to your black and white party and that accent color will be the color of the camera!.
What you can do is, where people make the cake the star of the party, make the camera the star of the party!. Take a little table, like the dinner trays people use when they watch tv and eat dinner in another room or get a small table, get some books, hardcover ones, and cover them in cloth napkins, (like they have in fancy resturants), just lay they over them in layers, in black and white, put the camera at the top, and make it the star of the party!. Decorate around it and decorate the table that it's on!. Where at a wedding they do this with the cake, you're doing it with a camera so that your friend and her gift are the star of the party!. Or have the cake made in the shape of the camera and then do the same thing with the cake and have the camera next to the cake!. If you do it with the camera though and make the camera the star, get a boa or two and wrap the boa around the base of the box of the camera so it really looks regal and do up the table and the area that the camera is on!. Then you can walk your friend over to her gift!. I would give it to her in the beginning of the night so she can use it during the night and take pictures of her party!.
You can have flowers in the color of the camera and white as the centerpieces!.
You can also set up a sheet in the accent color, the color of the camera, against a flat surface so that she can take pictures of herself with everyone at the party against the colored sheet, (you can't do white or black if everyone is dressed in those colors being it will be hard for them to be seen against that color), and she can pose with each guest and you can take pictures of her with each guest with her new camera and she'll have memories of her party in her camera!.
You can also go to the m&m's website and get black and white m&m's with her name and birthday on them!. You can buy whatever color you want and personalize them to say whatever you want!.
Is there anyplace you can go and find black and white candies by you!? Fill little vases with them around the party!.
Even black licorce can be used as napkin rings, tie it around the napkins and you have instant napkin rings!. You can even just use things that are in the accent colors of the camera!.

The other answers have some good ideas!. One thing I thought about is having black and white photos you can make them at wal-mart have them displayed maybe pictures of her with her friends baby pictures etc!.!. you could put them in black frames and have them on the talbes!. etc!.!.

Place the candles on a mirror and sprinkle black and white table confetti on the mirror!. It looks fabulous! Most party supplies store sell cardboard stars in assorted colors!. Get a bunch of sizes, in both black and white, and hang them up in the trees if this is an outdoor event!.

Layer 2 table cloths (black & white) !.!.!. get black & white balloons and anchor them in a big, clear glass vase with big black river rocks in the bottom (Home Depot or a craft store) !.!.!. dishes of black & white jelly bellies (the grocery stores have bins that sell the colors separately) !.!.!. Everyone should, of course, WEAR black & white !.!.!. Maybe you could have each guest bring a baby picture of themselves (B&W, if possible), and number the backs and everyone has to guess who it is!.!.!.!.!. At any craft store (in the cake decorating section - even at Walmart), you can get black food coloring in a little jar-so you could color dips, frosting, or whatever else you want!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
