There are so many wonderful things you can give your Sweetie for his big day!. Try www!.foodnetwork!.com for treriyaki recipes!. Try a teriyaki pork, Green salad with sliced mango pieces in the salad ( a light vinaigrette dressing)!. For appetizers, do sweet and sour marinated meat and veggie kabobs ( small), Sweet and sour marinated shrimp on a skewer with a piece of mango!. For the main dish, BBQ pork, grilled veggies, grilled pineapple and shrimp kabobs!. These are only a few ideas to get you started!. Hope it helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Luau sounds like roast pork and pineapples to me!. I would do something along those lines either roast a pork loin or two in the oven on low low heat for hours and shred it add some cabbage and a nice terriyaki style sauce to it for something different and serve on lettuce cups with some cabbage!. Grilled pineapple desserts will be a hit with some caramel drizzled over the top and served with some ice cream!. Serve foods in a different way like on skewers or in different forms like the lettuce cups or lettuce wraps!. Add hawaiian influences like coffee and papaya to the dishes!. Possibly a salsa with fruit in it and hot peppers!. possibilities are endless!. Have a great time and don't sweat it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Thought I'd do the same this summer & I thought of kabobs using pork with pineapple, pepper, and onion chunks along with cherry tomatoes etc!. maybe marinated in a garlic or lemon based marinade, basting while grilling!. Food goes further on kabobs too since you usually serve 2 per person over rice!. Been wanting to try grilling some fruit too, like peach or pear halves or pineapple slices!. Thought this would taste great with vanilla ice cream for dessert!. If the budget allows, you could serve shrimp as an appetizer or anything that makes you think of the islands!. Gosh, I'm hungry now!
Good luck & have fun, hope hubby has a happy b!.d!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would serve homemade bbq beef!. I make it by cutting up pot roast in small cubes!. put them in a pan in the oven with chopped onions and a sweet bbq sauce!. You can make this with pork also!. And remember beef really shrinks up when you cook it so be sure to make enough!. Cover and cook slowly till very tender!. You may need to add asmall amount of water from time to time so it dosent burn!. You can make this ahead of time!. And you can freeze leftovers!. Then when it comes time to serve it you put it on pita bread !. A nice thing to go along would be coleslaw the creamy kind and you add some drained crushed pineapple to it!. That gives it an Island taste!. Pina coladas even the virgin kinds are real good and quite easy to make!. http://www!.cooks!.com/rec/search/0,1-0,st!.!.!. And have a big platter of fruits already cut up with a pineapple to in the center!. Some marshmello /creamcheese dip too!. And a plate of coconut macroons or coconut bars!. Have fun and think festively!. Tell everyone to dress for the Island!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
