Some of the best parties I had gone to were dance parties!.!.!. The pool is a bonus!. 8th graders tend to like to group off in clumps!.!.!. and dancing and setting up pool party games would keep them from getting bored!. Keep munchies and beverages flowing!.!. along with the music and you're good to go!.!.!. Personally I'd set the length around 4 hours!. Plenty of adult supervision !.!.!. kept at a distance is a must!. lol Adults will be needed basically only for serving and clean up!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Pool party is great, have a bbq, with hamburgers, hot dogs, some salads, etc!. Do an ice cream bars with some ice cream and lots of different toppings so you and your friends can make your own sundaes!.
Go to the dollar store and get some inflatable beach balls for the pool to toss around!. You can even go to Toys R' Us and check out some other inflatable pool games, but I would stick with the beach balls, they're not expensive you can play volleyball, and I'm sure with the food, the pool, and the music, there's a lot for you and your friends to do!
You can do a dance off with you and your friends and have a prize for the best couple, like a dancing with the stars kind of thing!. You can have relay races like potato sack races, three legged races, yard games etc!. I would have some lawn chairs and umbrellas set out for friends that may not want to play, so they can sit and chat!. Even if it's just towels and stuff set out for them!.
It sounds like a fun time for you and your friends, I hope you have a great time!Www@FoodAQ@Com
