Answers:
We did this one time for a party and it was really cute
Buy sand buckets and put all the salads, chips and stuff in them!.
We used primary colors as the theme, dollar stores are wonderful for this stuff!. Find a little blow up pool and put your ice with soft drinks in it!. He can use it all summer to play in, being only 1 he doesn't need the big one yet!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just make sure you take videos !.!.!.!.!. Have a special small cake for him to dig into!.!.!.!.!. Other than that, a 1-yr-old is just happy with people to play with and a few empty boxes:) After opening the first couple of toys, he'll even get bored with opening presents!. (My daughter puts some of them away, and takes them out days or weeks later, when my grandkids need something new to do) !.!.!. Lots of bright colors, balloons (NO clowns - alot of kids are afraid of clowns)!. He's too little for organized activities, so save the money for more elaborate future birthdays!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't invite everyone you know!!
At one he is not going to know what is going on!. Just invite the people that are most important to him!. And people that he is familiar with!. This is not the time to introduce him to "great aunt Sophie's cousin"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Invite the people most important in his life, grammas and grampas, neices and nephews, neighbors!.!. etc!.!.!.!.!.

Its not the what you are doing thats important ,but sharing the first year of life with all who are important in his life, that is important!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
