is it safe to drink diet coke and swallow a mento right after? and is it safe to drink and eat poprocks and coke at the same time? what will happen?

They did this experiment on an episode of Mythbusters. Nothing really happened.
There is also some information about it on wikipedia - even though it is not a scholarly source it still has some good references.

How does that qualify as a science question? No, it isn't is it?
Your head will explode from internal forces. They will have to identify you from fingerprints. Your funeral will be closed-casket. Your mother will grieve you and ask herself, "Why?! Oh, why did I drink and smoke when my child was in the womb?" Also, there will be a salad bar.
Yes ive done it nothing happened happy to me but i did have a little stomach ace after drinking 3 cans of coke and 2 bags of pop rocks at the same time! But im still alive!
To whom it may concern-
Two things:
First of all, the reaction for Pop Rocks and soda does not occur in your body because your fluids separate them.
Secondly, I have never actually tried the Mentos and diet soda, so Hell, why not give it a shot?
