My book I wrote on parenting.

Just invite some of his buddies, and give him a special cake, and have a few things with the number "12" on it.

well aslong as you son's friends and family are present im sure it will be a great day for hi,
Just play games. draw a map for him and his friends and hide presents for them to find.

Yeah I can your problem.. he is too old for a bounce house and too young for dance party.
How about a themed party?? he must have some comic book, tv character or movie character that he likes .. check his room room for clues and work a party around that theme.

Do a BBQ party.. you can have hot dogs, burgers for the kids and ribs, chicken, sausages even fish for the adults and all this you can combine with many side dishes, corn cob, slaw, creamed spinach, potato salad, mac & cheese etc etc etc .

For my son's 12th birthday, we borrowed an LCD projector and had a "drive in movie" party in our back yard. It was very laid back. We invited his friends and our family and told everyone to bring their own lawn chair. We projected the movie onto a sheet we hung on the side of our house and my husband and I operated a "concession stand" with popcorn and hot dogs and candy and sodas. It was a big hit and inexpensive, since we were able to borrow the LCD projector. But you can also rent them.

The funny thing was, none of the kids at the party had ever been to a drive in movie! We made sure to take our son and some friends to the real thing later that summer.

Good luck with the party and happy birthday to your son!

play pin the nose on michael jackson, cant go wrong with that..

This might sound strange but you should throw him a SUMO party! You can rent Sumo Suits (fat suits) and the mat. Adults and kids will both love it. You just blow up the suit and go...

go to your back yard and have a BBQ for the family
and friends have a jumping jack and some fun games that will keep the kids entertained

Is there a paintball arena nearby? they usually have cheap group rates to include gun rentals. Nothing like a bunch of preteens shooting each other with paint, trust me theyll have fun.

Why not celebrate it picnic styIe? I believe everyone will have some fun.
