Ok here some things you’ll need:
Sheets or 4-6 yards of fabric for toga (it doesn't have to be white, be creative and show your personality!.)
Leather belts, or decorative rope (can be purchased at fabric store also!.)
Sandals
Ivy covered wire for headdress (fabric store!)
List of different types of fruits and vegatables to serve!.
Grapes and bucket for game - or small size kiddie pool!.
Prizes for games
Disposable cameras for pictures at the party (optional)
Plastic wine glasses
sparkling grape juice or other mixed fruit drinks (alcohol optional)
Step1: You can purchase ready made fruit and veggie trays at your local grocery store!. Greeks ate lots of fruits and veggies at their parties!. also purchase lots of grapes for a game you can play with guests (will be described in later steps!.) You can also get items to have a mini salad bar, Greek lettuce, tomatoes and so forth!.
Step2: No fancy decorations are needed!. Lots of greenery and foliage is perfect for the party!. You can also purchase plastic fruit at your local craft store to put as the centerpiece on the table!. Make sure you have some kind of bucket (put grapes you purchased in the above mentioned buckets) that you don't mind the guests putting their feet in so you can allow them to stomp grapes!.
Step3: Once you have everything prepared for your guests, you can start getting your toga ready!. The first thing you will do is wrap the fabric or sheet around your waist a few times and drape the remaining fabric over your shoulder!. You can pin it to the fabric around your waist or tie it off with your belt or rope!. Put your wire covered in ivy on your head and put your sandals on! Voila, your a Greek god or goddess!.
Step4 Step4: Prepare guests after they have eaten some of the finger foods or salad, and let them know it's game time!. Get the buckets - that you prepared earlier - have the guests take turns stomping the grapes and measure how much juice they made in a certain amount of time (for example 2 minutes or so!.)Make sure you do this game outside or on a large tarp!. You could also just have a large kiddie pool full of grapes if anyone would just like to stomp some grapes! You can also take pictures of some feeding others grapes like they did in Greek times!. Have a "best toga" contest also!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
