I would like to .....?!

Question:

I would like to .....?

throw myself a 49th birthday party. I would like some suggestions on a theme. I'm thinking to invite about 50 people.

Answers:
First of all invite 49 people...obvious.

Second of all, try throwing something that everyone will love. If you're not into drinkng then that's not really an option but you could try having a wrinkle party where everybody has to draw on their wrinkles with red magic marker...that's always fun.

when I turned 30 a friend and I that turned 30 had the "end of the world" party.. It was great and lots of fun!

well if you live in Australia please do invite me too, My culture says you gotta invite that amount of person on your birthday that you are turning to, so if you are turning 49 invite 49 different people and you will get 49 different wishes and good lucks from them, and next year 50 people add one more person each year and that will be good, and you will live long according to my culture and believes thanks and good luck, and happy coming birthday!!! smile

I just threw one of these for a client. We centered this one around "the best half".

Pure indulgence...wine/punch in fountains and a "Chocolate Passion" 7 layer cake with a melted white chocolate fondue underneath. We included tuxedoed strawberries to dip. We had plastic tiaras, fake costume jewelery, feather boas, and everyone must attend wearing some sort of sparkling, metallic clothing to celebrate the brightness of the "birthday girls" next phase in life.

We put out post it notes on the tables with fun feathered, lighted pens for everyone to write down a problem, or annoyance with and the placed them in small wastepaper baskets that were collected and at the end of the night the birthday girl took the basket and made a toast to her new phase and then shredded everyone's problems. It was a blast.

I have no idea but just wanna wish you happy birthday!

I had a great havana nights themed party once. That sort of thing works quite well. We made a backdrop of a sunset over a beach (quite easy to make with a red sheet, some felt and glitter pens etc). If it was nice weather you could have those big candle things in teh garden. And we made lots of cocktails including mojitos, pina coladas and daquiris. There was also Cuban music in the background.
