Ideas for a picnic suprise party! URGENT HELP!?

Hi, im planning a suprise picnic party to help celebrate a birthday. it is autumn here in australia. its only a small get-to-gether, just 6 of us girls. we're ages 20 yrs old. im after ideas of what i need to take, what i can take to decorate, any ideas of what we can do there? i have already thought of helium balloons to decorate, and to take a cake.

That sounds cool. Maybe add some tealight candles in cups?

For food, get some champers, strawberries, cheese and bikkies, dips and chips, tasty breads, some sliced cold meats, olives, anything picky you can eat with your hands or a toothpick.

what to do? chat! drink! laugh! give her presents! it will happen easily.

ps im in aus too and 22 my friends did this for my bday and it was great

A fresh fruit salad or veggie platter would go over well, especially with girls.

Hmmmmmm
water baloons? for fun?
Hide N seek Game? Not only for kids.
Horse Shoe games?
tennis?
Play ball?
Checkers?

Go to a garden shop they sell stakes that you stick in the ground and they have various designs (butterfly's , flowers etc) And go to material shop buy material with nice design to put on the table or to sit on.

I would bring a huge blanket for everyone to chill on. Maybe a ball or frisbee, or kites to play with. Definately lots and lots of food. Veggies with a nice yogurt dip would be nice. Think about food that's easy to carry and doesnt have to be piping hot. Finger sandwiches with different meat and cheese would be good. Some fruit salad or delicious pies for dessert.

Food: Strawberries, Cous Cous, mini-quiches, fairy cakes, brownies, watermelon, cheese and pineapple sticks, shortbread, mini sausages :)

Decorate: Bright coloured blankets and plates with the balloons is all you need really.

Activities: Chat, laugh, have a giggle!
