Do all birthday parties have cakes?!

Question:

Do all birthday parties have cakes?

we got sum invitation for a kid's birthday party n at the end it said "cake will be served." shouldnt cake always be served? its a birthday party.

Answers:
They are simply stating that cake will be served, only, as opposed to an actual meal. I often make birthday dinners for family members and I make them their favorite dessert , which ranges from cheesecake to strawberry shortcake. I have a neice that doesn't like cake! Have you ever heard such a thing? Have fun!

well i think they just want to let you know that the kids will be eating and i have heard of other people writing cake and pizza being served so its normal..lol

basically yes, if you dont have a cake you're an alien or something

um well, i know some ppl that do not serve an actual cake, they serve cookie pizza's or pies, or even just cupcakes. they could just be stating thats its actually a cake..

Not always. It depends on their culture or family traditions.
Also, they may say that to indicate they aren't serving a meal.

of course not

it should be :D

It is being polite, especially if there are allergies. I wish they would put if it is store-bought or homemade, or what kind of cake it is....but I end up asking when I rsvp.

Then there are some that serve ice cream cake as opposed to cake AND ice cream, or some that just don't do it for personal reasons.

No, some kids are allergic to flour or wheat and would have something else.

cake will be serves is more like letting you know there will be no real food just cake

You need cake to put candles on!!!

a birthday party without a cake is just mean.

When I was younger I used to ask for cornbread for my birthday instead of cake!

Not always. Some of our children are becoming a little over weight. There are other healthier substitutes.

yes cake must be served bcoz its a birthday party
