Very small birthday party?!

Question:

Very small birthday party?

We just got back from vacation, spent lots of $$ to fix the car and now my son is turning 4. Instead of a big party somewhere, we decided to buy him one of those cars you drive and give him a small home party. The firetruck will come and they bring hats and bags of fireman goodies. We'll do a pinata and a couple traditional party games but we dont have a big place and no yard and itll be pretty crowded. Will it be okay? I know the kids will be fine, but Im worried itll be uncomfortable for the adults. Whats are your thoughts on this?

Answers:
Your son is 4 and the party is for him and his guests (who are the same age) the party is not for adults, so not all of them need to stay, if you are worried about room, have the parents drop off their children and come to collect them after the party. I have done this and it works, the other way you'd be surprised how fast it can become "about the adults". hope this helps :)

Dear 32,
The party is for children...stop worrying about what the adults think and make it fun for the children.

Grandmother of 8.

adult don't matter, because its Ur son that matter, and if u want please everyone, go to a near by park after the birthday and have a family time.

It will be just fine, and besides its about the kids having fun and celebrating your sons birthday, Not the parents..You could take it to a park . But I think a cozy atmosphere forces people to get to know each other and make new friends.

If the adults are uncomfortable, they can leave and pick there kids up after the party. I wouldnt worry about it. As long as the kids are having fun. Its not for the parents, its for the kids.
