Chips and dip, veggies and dip, finger sandwiches, chicken wings, salads, maybe you can do a theme like chinese or italian food, finger foods are good at any party.
Pizza and subs are always good, as are chicken wings or tacos & burritos. Most people tend to like BBQ as well. To munch on through the evening you may want to have some candies such as M&Ms, skittles and mini peanut butter cups. If you're fond of pretzels, buy a few bags of those short honey wheat twisted pretzels and make a cheese dip to eat with it. A very basic and favorite of my friends and family is just with room-temp cream cheese, minced garlic and chives. Cake & icecream are always a winner at parties... maybe even an ice-cream cake. :) Try a variety of drinks such as sodas, punches and teas. A good punch is Dreamsicle Punch, which can be made so many ways. The idea though is to mix an orange drink with an icecream or sherbert. We like to use the Orange flavored Hawaiian Punch in the big jug mixed with vanilla icecream, although, I've found just your basic orange soda and vanilla icecream is also yummy as a 'float'.
Truth or Dare is always fun... 20 questions, Twister, darts, card games, trivia games, etc.
If you've got a little extra money, party favors are cool to have, whether it's the cheap confetti and bubbles you buy from a dollar store type place or the nicer little gift sack for each girl including lipgloss, a keychain, maybe a little mini brush and mirror, and so on.
If you can get your hands on a digital camera all of you girls can take random photos throughout the evening and later on you can make copies on discs for everyone.
Maybe rent some new movies you've all been wanting to see.
Hmm, you could have like a glamour themed party... where everyone helps give everyone else a makeover. Face masks, manicures, makeup, hair... the works. :)
Have fun at your party. :)
For food....it depends on what kinda money you have. Ordering pizza can be the easiest....but more expensive (unless you get the $5 pizza at Little Caesars) Pasta such as spaghetti or mostacioli is easy to make in large quantaties at low cost.
For games.....have everyone bring $20. Go to Goodwill...or another resale store. Time a half hour for everyone to pick out a hot out fit. At home they put on the outfit and do a hair and make up make over and then you vote for the favorite.
For more games....it is called Psychirist (I can't spell it). Before you tell the rules to the girls, send on girl out of the room so that she can't hear....she will be the psychiatrist. Everyone will get in a circle. They will need to familiarzie themselves with the person sitting to their right. The psychiatrist comes back and asks everyone yes or no questions trying to figure out the groups problem.....which is everyone is the person to the right of them. So for example...she would ask do you wear glasses? and if the person is sitting to the right of them doesn't they answer no.
Happy b-day!
