Teen party problems!?!

Question:

Teen party problems!?

On the 17th of June I will turn 14. I didn't have a brilliant party for my 13th so I want this to be awesome.
However, I have at least 25 people I literally have to invite. What can I do? It's way too expensive to take everyone out to dinner, or cinema or bowling or whatever, and we only have an average sized house. I don't want to have a BBQ or whatever and my parents are cautious with alcohol so I couldn't have a house party

I don't have a budget, but obviously my parents don't want to spend too much..

On my current list of people I want to invite there are 17 girls and 6 boys... what should I do? (also, do you think I should even out the girls:boys ratio or not?)

Answers:
you can have a BBQ if you would like . just tell them what's up .no Alcohol or they are out. and let them know your mom or dad will be at the party and nothing will fly by them . only invite ppl you will have fun with and trust . you don't need it to get out of hand . you can even tell them all to bring 1 thing so it will be easyer on you . if you are afraid they will bring something bad make a list of things they could bring and have mom or dad keep an eye out. you can have games like volleyball or card games or just sit and chill . you let them know if they are getting out of hand and you make sure they show respect . if you do something like movies dinner let them know you don't have money 2 pay for others . don't go out of your way 2 much . just do what is best for you and what you would have fun doing its all about you its your day. but lay down law if you have 2 or have mom or dad with you and have them help . I know you are young and my not want mom or dads help but if you need it get it. GOOD LUCK
HAPPY B DAY

You should probably even out the girls and guys situation and for your party you should have it outside because doing anything else would be way to expensive. Either that or have it inside and dance to music, chill, and eat. That is the least expensive way to have a party.

Can you have a movie or game night in your backyard? Is there a community center that you could rent for a low price. Try a poker night with prizes and things. You could make mock coctails and serve snack food.

How about going to the pool?

2 things:
1.) You are turning 14!! Are you really worried about there being alcohol at your birthday party???
2.) I have not had a "birthday party" since I was 12. I think they are very childish. Just invite your closest friends out to a nice dinner or a play...not 25 people you "have to invite". What makes you think you HAVE to invite anyone? it's your party, have fun and don't stress!

PS: HAPPY B-DAY!

Try & even out the boy girl ratio.
Just have a few kids over.
Some probally wont be able to come.
Just go rent some movies youd think theyd like, and you can all watch movies.

Or just go to the park.
That's what we did on my 15th birthday.
It was fun too!

Do a pool party. Maybe you can reserve an indoor or outdoor pool for a couple of hours and then just do a picnic lunch there.

just go out to dinner and make everyone pay for their own food

How about a "drive in movie" theme in your backyard. You could rent some classic movies and an LCD projector and show the movies on the side of your house. Lay blankets on the ground and pop some popcorn. Rent some classic cartoons to add to the authentic "drive in" flavor. (We had a party like this and found a DVD with classic intermission clips for a few bucks on Ebay "Visit the Snackbar" and stuff like that.)

You'll have to wait for it to get dark to start the movie, so have your guests enjoy some food - pizza and cake and ice cream - while waiting for the sun to set.

You could design invitations that look like old time movie posters - look for examples on line.

Happy birthday!

Your friends could throw you a party for your birthday. Skip the alcohol...trust me, you'll be more repected by all your peers by the time you hit your senior year in high school if, and only if,
you do not partake of everything your 'friends' partake of.
Meet your 'friends' for movie and a meal, everyone pays for themselves, they can gift you or not. Happy Birthday, have fun, stay decent.

PICK A THEME FOR YOUR PARTY, LIKE A 50'S PARTY
OR YOU CAN DO A 70'S THEME HAVE YOUR FRIENDS
DRESS UP YOU CAN HAVE IT IN YOUR BACK YARD.
OR JUST HAVE THE GIRLS OVER FOR A SLEEP OVER
GET YOUR FAV MOVIES JUNK FOOD PLAY SOME GAMES. HEY EVEN CALL BOYS UP ON THE PHONE. YOUR PARTY WILL ONLY BE FUN IF YOU MAKE IT FUN!!
