Well we have the usual franchises like Dunkin Donuts,Krispy Kreme,Winchells etc, Most cities have their own local shops,and most large grocery stores have their own bakeries that make doughnuts!. I would think it would be in the neighborhood of 300-500 separate bakeries!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
the only two i can think of are dunkin donuts and krispy kreme but there are probably thousands of local doughnut shops
