What are some great ideas for throwing a Marie Antoinette themed birthday party?
My birthday is in August; I'm throwing it with a friend; we have budget constraits, but can spent a handful, just not a TON.

How about adding masks to the party, to make it somewhat like a masquerade ball. They're sure to fit your budget, and you could also design on them to make them more colorful. Make the guests wear them, whether they're eyepieces or for the whole face. That would make it seem "Marie Antoinette-ish" and like french carnivales. =D
lots and lots of cake. seriously, that could be really funny- instead of trying to do elaborate costumes, etc....make everything sort of french and involving lots of different cake and cake puns.

A bunch of small cake like things. She loved sweets!!! Long dresses and weird wigs!! Also, very nice and antique furniture!!
