Outdoor fish fry?!
Outdoor fish fry?
Iam having an outdoor party this weekend about 60 people im in louisiana so its hot so i need some ideas for some finger foods that can be outside.
Answers:
since its a fish fry -
fried dill pickles w/ ranch dressing - drain jars of sliced dill pickles, coat w/ fish fry, cook until the coating is crispy
hearty raw veggies like baby carrots and celery sticks - fill a large bowl w/ ice, place the veggie sticks in a smaller bowl and set on top of the ice to keep cool.
the above bowl trick works great for the ranch, tarter sauce, cole slaw or anything else you want to try and keep cool.
you can go to kraftfoods.com. I have found multiple recipes for great outdoor finger foods. There are some I can't remember what they called it but you tortillas filled with cream cheese and all other kinds of stuff. You roll the torilla up and then cut into many pieces. This is just one recipe but I remember there being a lot of finger foods on the website. Good luck and hope you have a great party!!

Make a dip with sour cream and spinach because its bound to be hot in LA and thats very cooling, easy, and almost universally accepted. I'd suggest serving in a bowl that sits on ice, to be sure it stays cool and refreshing. Then just put out some chips and pretzels.
