take em out to dinner
how about a themed party like pink and do everything pink
skating rink party
Rent a hotel room at a hotel that has a pool. Have a slumber party, pool party, and leave the mess behind!
get some older girls to come in and do everyones nails and toes.... they'll LOVE it....
Goodie bags can include emery boards, nail polish, nail stickers etc.
Kids won't care if it's an esthetician or not... they just want to be pampered....
Or do a theme, like mexico... pinata, sombrero's etc
Think outside the box too... my daughter took her gal pals to a lazer tag place and they are all "girlie girls" but they loved the chance to let it all go and shoot the crap out of each other... Plus the place had a birthday party room, so no mess at my house!!!
luau, scrapbooking, don't they haev websites for this?
You could do a slumber party at your house.
Everyone builds their own pizza.
You can have a sundae station where they can make thier own creations.
You can take their pictures and at Cartridge world they have giant Shrinky Dink Paper, you can print their pics on the paper and they can make shrinky dinks of themselves.
They can watch movies and give make overs.
You could also do a High School Musical theme and have them watch the movie and then create their own dance routines.
a make-your-own party :)
Serve mini-pizzas -- use english muffins and let the girls spoon on sauce, cheeze, and toppings before baking (pre-toasting muffins keeps them from getting soggy)
Have them decorate their own gift bags (you can get inexpensive cloth ones for just such the purpose -- use fabric markers instead of paint s it dries instantly. Buy fabric markers at Wal-Mart -- they're expensive at craft stores.)
Use shrinky-dinks to make necklace pendants, or just string beads to make jewelry / key chains. If you have few enough girls, you can make friendship bracelets with string, but with more that 4 or 5 it can get kind of tough showing them all.
Paintable ceramic figurines are nice if you have enough time for them to dry (sleepover)
Let them decorate iced cupcakes instead of doing a big cake, or let them ice & decorate pre-baked sugar cookies.
Do karaoke for a make-your-own entertainment.
We did something like this for my daughters 10th b-day, it was a big hit.
Ummmm...whatever you do, DO NOT have more than a few spend the night. We recently had a birthday slumber party for our 11 year old and told her all the girls from her class could spend the night. It turned out to be 9 girls and there were SOOOO many fights. They are at the age where they feel like adults and so crazy things WILL happen. We had to monitor them constantly and even found a girl who had stolen matches from a drawer so that they could light candles after we went to bed. Only invite they ones you know and trust to spend the night.
maybe a slumber party , a dinner with the family , going out to the movies, shopping spree
Let her invite 5 friends and rent a limo for a few hours. Shouldn't cost more than $200 and let them pick up pizza in the limo during the last hour. Come home for a sleepover.
Unless you frequently hire a driver, then the cool factor is out the window.
My daughter is 11 also, and we threw her an American Idol party last year. The girls had SO much fun that they still talk about it!
They sang, they danced, they laughed, they had a BALL!
Here are some other things you can do at an American Idol party:
- A Glamour session. Get them all dolled up like superstars for their performances.
- Have the girls strike a pose at a photo shoot...just like real superstars!
- Create little autograph books and have an autograph session. They get a kick out of this!
You can find American Idol party favor ideas, food ideas, birthday cake ideas and decorating tips on my website:

Good luck, and have fun!
rollerblading party or swim pool party.
my daughters 12 and she had a pyjama party watched a few dvds and ate pizza and crisp all night but they enjoyed it. Did not cost loads and my daughter thought it was great even though they were all tired the next day
LUAU! They get to wear their bikini tops and grass skirts. You can have them string their own leis and they can LIMBO!
a swim party. um.. a tacky party where everyone has to dress tacky and contest and stuff on tackiest and the worst dressed like l;east tackiest the kids get to throw a pie in his face best dressed 4 goodie bags instead of 1 than something like a Olympics bowl
well since harry potter is coming out u can make a harry otter themed party if she is into that. maybe u can take her and a few friends to the release of the book on June 21 at Barnes and Nobles if u live near new york
Might I suggest a pool party? Decorate as much as you like, maybe a luau theme. Keep the food simple (hot dogs, pizza, or chicken fingers, chips, pop, ice cream, cake...). My 15 year old has been invited to many pool parties over the years, and we always have a good time.
