Creative bachelorette party ideas??!

Question:

Creative bachelorette party ideas??

I'm traveling long distance to a friend's wedding in Athens, GA this July, and I am helping to plan her bachelorette party scheduled the Thursday before her wedding. Attendees will range in age from 18-70, so no bar hopping allowed. Any suggestions?

Since there's a diverse age group, I certainly would not plan a party where there will be a lot of drinking. Maybe some champagne punch or something subtle.

How about serving appetizers and a nice dessert? Serve flavored coffees and teas; finger sandwiches; cheesecake bites; stuffed cherry tomatoes; shrimp cocktail; fresh fruit (with or without a chocolate fountain--which you can rent), etc.

At the last party I planned, I arranged for a belly dancer to come and give a demonstration and teach everyone a few moves. The belly dancer worked up a simple routine for the bride and gave her a cd with the music so the bride could demonstrate for her husband. Everyone had a blast!

Buy a small notebook and ask everyone in the room, at their leisure, to write the bride a small note---giving advice on how to make a marriage strong. Some advice was funny (but true) and other was heart felt. It really is a nice keepsake.

Open gifts; play a few games. give the guests favors when they leave.

The male stripper is always fun. Although there's usually one to two in the party who is offended (not really, but act that way because they think they should be)---unless the attendees are all good friends and have the same general values.

only one thing to say...

hi ya, my friend just got married, we when to the pub and had a blast!! we did it for free too!!! this is how,

we got a cheap wedding dress white and made her run around from store to store, well getting all the stuff we needed that night. With a sign saying, wish the new bride good luck but signing her dress for 2 dollars (or something like that)
I think i had more fun making her do that than getting drunk that night.

I hope you have fun what ever you do that night!!!
make it a day and night to remember for her!!!!

Hey I live right outside of athens ga. I know a girl who does surprise parties. They sell like lotions, lubricants, sex toys. She is very tasteful in her product showcase but its really funny. I had one for my sister in law and it was so much fun. Even for the older guests as long as they are not to uptight.

no bachelorette party is complet with out a male striper and you can be sure the men will have a female striper so no harm no foal notchos are great with lots of cheese and salsa and sour cream dancing is fun so you could rent a hall to have the party so you have dance space if there is no alcohol then it will be quite a drag to begin with so spice it up with non-alcohol wine or beer you can likely bye it at any grocrey store streamers confetie and noise makers are a must and it might be fun with strob lights that is unless one of the guest are epliptic any way thats all i can think of

just don′t let her get drunk!
